As we expand our portfolio and strengthen our compliance-driven practice, we are seeking a talented Mexican Associate to support our legal team in corporate, regulatory, and compliance mandates. This is a key role for a motivated lawyer with strong knowledge of Mexican corporate and financial law who thrives in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.

This position is ideal for someone passionate about working at the intersection of law, finance, and technology. You will advise innovative clients, handle structuring and licensing projects, and support compliance frameworks for regulated entities, from fintech startups to financial institutions.

🔎 Key Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate contracts, shareholder agreements, credit agreements, and regulatory documents.
• Support licensing, authorization, and regulatory filings for SOFOMes, IFPEs, money transmitters, and other financial entities.
• Assist in the design and implementation of AML/PLD compliance programs under LFPIORPI, LGOAAC, and CNBV dispositions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare opinions on corporate governance, fintech regulation, and cross-border structuring.
• Support due diligence for venture financing and M&A transactions.
• Coordinate with partners, clients, and regulators to ensure deliverables are precise, timely, and compliant.
• Identify potential risks and propose practical, business-oriented legal solutions.

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree from a recognized Mexican university (valid cédula profesional required).
• 2–4 years of experience in corporate, financial, or regulatory law.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican commercial law, corporate governance, and AML/PLD obligations.
• Experience with CNBV filings, corporate registrations, or regulatory compliance preferred.
• Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills in Spanish and English.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Client-facing communication skills and strong business judgment.
